Policy Statement
JFJIDS is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable. All submitted manuscripts must be the original work of the authors and must not be copied, wholly or partially, from other sources without proper attribution.

Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, data, figures, or ideas from another source without proper citation.

  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without acknowledgment.

  • Submitting someone else’s work as one’s own, including self-plagiarism or duplicate submission.

  • Fabricating citations or misrepresenting sources.

Plagiarism Detection Process
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate).

  • Similarity index below 15% (excluding references, quotes, and standard phrases) is acceptable.

  • Similarity index of 15–30%: Manuscript is returned for revision.

  • Similarity index above 30%: Manuscript is rejected.

Consequences of Plagiarism

  • Minor Overlap (Unintentional): Authors will be asked to revise and resubmit with proper citations.

  • Major Overlap (Intentional or Negligent): Manuscript will be rejected, and the authors’ institution(s) may be notified.

  • Post-Publication Plagiarism: Articles may be retracted with a notice published, authors may be blacklisted, and relevant academic/professional bodies may be informed.

Self-Plagiarism / Redundant Publication
JFJIDS does not allow substantial reuse of previously published work without clear citation and justification. Authors must disclose overlapping or related publications during submission.

Ethical Responsibility of Authors
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm:

  • The work is original and properly cited.

  • All sources of information are acknowledged.

  • The manuscript has not been published elsewhere or under consideration by another journal.

The editorial board of JFJIDS:

  • Ensures all submissions are screened for plagiarism.

  • Investigates reported cases promptly and fairly.

  • Follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines in handling plagiarism cases.
